Records of the Massachusetts State House Preservation Committee, an organization whose purpose was to preserve and restore the original front of the building designed by Charles Bulfinch. Includes minutes of meetings and notes kept by secretary Lucy Lowell, committee member lists and signatures, a letterbook, newspaper clippings, and correspondence, including a letter from George F. Hoar. Also, materials regarding the group's attempt to limit the height of buildings surrounding the State House.
